Hi. It turns out that the license subsystem in old ThinLinc versions no
longer accepts licenses (after 2013-02-23). This affects ThinLinc 3.2.0
and older. It is possible to fix this problem by running the following
command, as root, on the ThinLinc server:
perl -pi -e 's|"-text" ,|"-text","-noverify",|' /opt/thinlinc/modules/thinlinc/vsm/licensehandler.py
Use copy-paste to avoid typing errors. Then, restart the "vsmserver"
service. (Ref: https://www.cendio.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=4545)
In general, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of
ThinLinc. Our support policy (http://www.cendio.com/legal/support) states
that releases are supported up to three years after release, so make sure
to upgrade in time.
Regards,
