[Thinlinc-technical] vsmagent and tlwebadm randomly recieving SIGTERM

we had a similar problem ... our service restarted, but since they
did it in parallel, they lost their knowledge about existing
sessions ... so when users tried to re-connect, they were offered
new sessions ...

the solution was pretty simple:

/etc/logrotate.d/thinlinc-vsm-server
--------------------------------------
/var/log/vsmserver.log {
    missingok

    postrotate
       # wait with restarting the server to make sure the
       # agent has time to properly come up BEFORE the server
       # goes down ... (thus makeing sure the sessions survive)
       sleep 900
       /etc/init.d/vsmserver condrestart &> /dev/null
    endscript
}

at least this weekend, all went fine ...

maybe in your case, try redirecting the script output to a file
instead of /dev/null to get sime more info about the event ...
