Cendio has developed several "hotfixes" for problems that was discovered
after the ThinLinc 1.6.0 release. None of these are security related, but
they includes bug fixes and feature enhancements.
* The ThinLinc WTS sound driver (which includes microphone support) has
been enhanced in several ways. It now supports mixing several streams,
allowing support for more than one application at a time. Programs based
on DirectSound, such as Windows Media Player, works much better. The
driver is now compatible with systems running Microsoft SoftGrid.
An updated WTS Tools package, which includes the WTS sound driver, can
be downloaded from http://www.cendio.se/files/thinlinc/updates/b2431/.
* An updated rdesktop package is available. This package solves a problem
with slow listings of large directories, when the Windows client is
used. It also fixes a problem which can cause "segmentation fault" with
newer versions of "libX11".
The updated rdesktop package is available from
http://www.cendio.se/files/thinlinc/updates/b2450/.
* An updated version of "homecreatefilter" is available, which solves a
problem with local drive redirection, as well as other fixes. This
package is not yet available as a public hotfix. Please contact us if
you need this update.
* A compatibility problem regarding Local Drive Redirection on Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 5 has been discovered. It affects the Windows client as
well as version 1.5.0 and earlier of the Linux client. Version 1.6.0 of
the Linux client is not affected, on a typical system. For more
information, see the Red Hat Bug at
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=241348 . If you are
affected by this problem, please add yourself to the CC list in the Red
Hat Bugzilla.
Best regards,
