        cups will print silly amounts of stuff to error_log when you have DEBUG<br>
        turned on. So it sounds like you didn't get that config to really stick.<br>
        The thinlocal backend should print status information that will end up<br>
        in that log. It also normally never returns a failure, so perhaps it is<br>
        crashing somehow?<br><br>
